Botanical trail, pleasant and very interesting, through an ancient forest of laurel and giant heather. A “living fossil” from the Tertiary period, with a great variety of flora, fauna and species endemic to the Canary Islands. On the way to a lush subtropical rainforest, we pass through some old clay mines and experience the surprising contrasts that this route offers. We will learn to identify different plants, flowers and trees and be amazed at their uses and medicinal properties. As we enjoy the impressive panoramic views of deep gorges, young and old volcanoes and the north coast, we listen to the songs of the local birds. This magnificent forest and its surroundings are located in the Teno Rural Park, one of the oldest geological areas of Tenerife. We climb to an altitude of 1250m and cross a mountain pass with breathtaking views. We continue our walk through a magnificent Canary pine forest on the slopes of an ancient volcano. The excursion ends in a small village where we can enjoy tapas, wine and local coffee (not included in the price). This hike is suitable for children from 12 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
