Wonderful Magic Forest

Wonderful Magic Forest

The botanical trail offers visitors a pleasant and informative journey through an ancient forest of laurel and giant heather. A species that has remained unchanged for millions of years, representing a significant evolutionary legacy from the Tertiary period. It is home to a vast array of flora, fauna and species endemic to the Canary Islands. The route also offers the opportunity to observe the contrasts between old clay mines and lush subtropical rainforest. The tour will provide an opportunity to learn about the identification of different plants, flowers and trees, as well as their uses and medicinal properties. As we take in the impressive panoramic views of deep gorges, young and old volcanoes and the north coast, we will also have the opportunity to listen to the songs of the local birds. The magnificent forest and its surrounding area are situated within the Teno Rural Park, which represents one of the oldest geological areas on the island of Tenerife. We ascend to an altitude of 1,250 metres and traverse a mountain pass with spectacular vistas. We then proceed to traverse a magnificent Canary pine forest on the slopes of an ancient volcano. The excursion will conclude in a small village where guests will have the opportunity to enjoy tapas, wine and local coffee at their own expense. Explore the island’s natural treasures with all your senses, accompanied by an expert guide, for an unforgettable experience. Wear hiking shoes or trainers with good soles and bring raincoat, hat, sun protection and enough water with you.

This hike is suitable for children from 12 years old. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This activity requires a minimum of 3 participants. If the minimum number is not reached, the people who have booked can assume the remaining cost for the excursion to take place, otherwise the excursion will be cancelled and the amount of the reservation will be refunded.
